In 2016, Nzuri Body Essentials, LLC was created and is pronounced as Zuri which translates to beautiful in the Swahili language. Within just 2 years, Nzuri Body Essentials evolved into a luxury natural bath and body care line handcrafted by a mother and daughter duo based in Chicago, IL, Adrienne and Brittany. All products are made with natural and organic ingredients, consisting of Exfoliating Body Polish, Organic Shower Gel, Tripled Whipped Body Soufflé, and more. Nzuri Body Essentials is now an international business currently sold online, serving customers in 6 different countries. The luxury body care line has an exclusive partnership with the East Bank Club, an award-winning health club holding members of Chicago’s elite politicians and celebrities.
What do you do and why do you do it?
We are owners and creators of Nzuri Body Essentials, LLC, a handcrafted bath and body care line offering a luxury spa experience in the comfort of your home. We provide handcrafted body products using natural and organic ingredients. Our purpose in creating Nzuri Body Essentials was to develop a lasting legacy that will generate wealth for generations to come.
How does what you do benefit others?
Us being mother and daughter in addition to business partners, has inspired other mothers and daughters to build and strengthen relationships. We have motivated and encouraged families to work together towards providing generational wealth.
Describe your career journey and how it led you to where you are now.
We have combined experience in Corporate America and Retail. We both had a burning desire to become entrepreneurs and to prepare Brittany pursued a license in Esthetics and Adrienne pursued certification in Aromatherapy. We decided upon a bath and body care line because of our skin concerns.
What are your goals?
Our goal is to make Nzuri Body Essentials a global household brand, being known and recognized worldwide.
What are your inspirations?
Our inspirations are seeing other women owned businesses who have come before us become globally successful. As well as, being approached by many women who have expressed how we have played a role in their pursuit of entrepreneurship.
If you could have one superpower to help you further your purpose, what would it be and why? How would you use it?
Our superpower would be to instantly have the ability to encourage, assist and empower women all over the world. In our journey we have met women from various walks of life, some lacking self-esteem while others are just in need of encouragement to overcome their fears.
